It’s getting pretty amusing over at Bolt’s thread about the Alex Jones vs Michelle Malkin confrontation in Denver. Jones has posted on his own blog about Bolt’s false implication that the people calling for Malkin’s death were followers of Jones. This has prompted an influx of Jones’s own winged monkeys to argue against Bolt and his followers – it’s now a neoconservative vs paleoconservative free-for-all.
Of course, the potential downside is that the densest disciples of both Bolt and Jones assume that anyone arguing against them is a member of notorious hate group Teh Left – consequently, this argument just reinforces for all of them that Teh Left is made up of stupid, rude thugs. As I observed in a comment on Bolt’s blog, it’s a neat demonstration of how confirmation bias operates.
It doesn’t seem that Jones’s monkeys have discovered Timmeh’s blog yet – the poor little darling’s post, made before Bolt’s, is still sitting on a grand total of 19 comments (most of which are focussing on the fact that the stage for Obama’s speech tomorrow has been built to look like half the buildings in Washington). It’s just as well he doesn’t run that blog for a living.
