This is Alex Jones – a 9/11 “truther” whose major ideological foundations appear to be a concern about the centralisation and inappropriate use of state power. He made an aborted run to be the Republican candidate for a Texas seat. In the 2008 Presidential race, his greatest involvement has been with the libertarian Republican Ron Paul.
He is no more representative of the Democratic Party or the political left than three drugged-up white guys with rifles are of the right. Or a global warming denialist, for that matter.
